Now GAMMA offers its customers the possibility of having their products with a special hydrophobic coating based on RTV silicone, integrating the qualities of the polymer surface with the mechanical strenght and longevity of porcelain and glass.

GAMMA RTV coated insulators have excellent performance against UV radiation, temperature and corrosive environments.

They have a high hydrophobicity (STRI International Guide), avoiding that the contaminants form layers on this. The coating in heavily contaminated zones remains hydrophobic after many years, even with some deposition of dirt, by the capacity of migration of the particles of low molecular weight that are accommodated on pollutants, such as: salts, coal and cement dust, bird waste and industrial particulate material, among many others.

BENEFITS

  • Decrease in leakage current with lower losses due to leakage currents.
  • Reduction in maintenance costs due to decreased washes.
  • Excellent self-cleaning characteristics.
  • Good behaviour before tracking and erosion.

APPLICATIONS

  • Areas of high contamination.
  • Normal pollution areas.
  • Areas of difficult maintenance.
  • Coastal areas.
